We’re really pleased to reveal what we hope you’ll think is a quality finish for our new brand identity and website.

Those of you who have worked with us for a long time will know that we aren’t too flash and like the quality of our work to do our talking. It is a family trait that goes all the way back to our founder Jack Henry Lidstone when he started the company in 1963. That said, we’ve always been innovative and been at the forefront of new techniques, equipment and materials for the benefit of our clients right across the West Country and beyond.

As we reflected on our 60 years in the industry, we thought it would be a great opportunity to update our look to greater reflect what we are all about and showcase the screeding, tiling and plastering services we offer.

So we enlisted the skills of the experienced team at Fuel in Plymouth who have a great track record in working with both trades and family businesses on their brand identities and growth plans.

Our managing director Damian Lidstone explained: “We were looking for a way to capture not just our heritage but also the way in which we work too. One of the reasons we are trusted by the leading names in the industry is they rely on us to provide experienced advice on the right materials to enable other contractors to get on site and get the job done.  If that bit goes wrong, the whole project can suffer.  They know, by working with us, they can have confidence that they are working from solid foundations.  Of course, we can come back in and apply high quality finishing too.”

Fuel has been working with J H Lidstone since late last year to carefully understand the needs of the business before applying new creative work to the company’s brand identity and website.

Fuel’s managing director Martyn King said: “Damian and his team are a very proud and skilled group who are amongst the very best in the business. The family aspect to it is a great story as the values pass from generation to generation and they have a very reassuring presence in a marketplace that has experienced real turbulence not just in recent years but across J H Lidstone’s six decades in business.”

He continued: “I have to say it is a real privilege to be trusted on a project of this nature and it has been great to work with a team of people at the top of their game.”

Damian concluded: “The new identity captures and communicates what we do really well. I’d like to thank all of the team at Fuel who were easy to work with and really delivered for us to mark such an important milestone for the business.”
